I have consulted with a number of major brands who were looking for a solution to use sponsorship as a platform to solve business objectives, working alongside their marketing teams to create a brief and then to search the market for relevant sponsorship opportunities.  My role is to guide the brand through the sponsorship search and selection process, additionally negotiating the deal with the rights holder, in order to ensure maximum benefit for the sponsoring brand.
